Chi Mai | Ennio Morricone

This most popular piece was written for the motion picture “Maddalena” (1971) directed by Jerzy Kawalerowicz, and re-used in “Le professionnel” (1981) starring Jean-Paul Belmondo. However, an instrumental version with orchestra conducted by the composer, was originally released with the title “Terra magica” on an obscure German 7″ film in 1970.
It was later used in the TV series “The Life and Times of David Lloyd George” (1981).

“Chi Mai” reached Number 2 in 1981 in the UK Singles Charts.
